“Can You Hear Me Now”

Over the past twenty-plus years, I’ve been entrusted to serve as a mediator between couples and have discovered that one of the greatest hindrances to is the inability to communicate effectively one’s needs. It’s important to recognize that how relationships start is not necessarily how they end. Life brings about changes and challenges in health, age, loss of life, children, etc. These changes can be life-altering and highlight the necessity of communication and its effects on the relationship. Marriage is not a lifelong honeymoon; it’s two people coming together with a commitment to grow together through life’s difficulties as well as through their celebratory events.
